The 6 Steps to Bail Bonds in Union
The Stafford Police Department will determine your bond wherever the arrest was made. If the initial bond cannot be paid, the judge will set a final bond. This final bond must be paid.
After the arrest is made, give the Connecticut Bail Bonds Group a call. You will then be able to speak with one of our professional Union bond agents. They will walk you through the steps of the bail bond process, and answer any questions you may have. Please be prepared to supply personal information such as your legal name, date of birth, reason for arrest, and related charges. In the event you are located in a near correctional facility, it would be helpful if you could provide an inmate number.
After the inital call, the Somers bond agent will travel to meet you in person for a consultation. During this meeting, the agent will walk you through the necessary steps in the bonding protocol, court system, and payment options. If they determine it is necessary, they will also collect collateral items: such as jewelry, a car, or a house.
The Somers jail will receive the bail bond, and an agent will arrive to process paperwork. This service can take anywhere from 30 to 40 minutes. Once the paperwork is signed it is considered complete. The arrested individual will then receive the release papers that will allow them to return home.
A court date and time will be set for the arrested individual. You will be expected to appear in court at this designated time for the process to transition smoothly. Failure to arrive to court at the schedule time will result in a Connecticut Bail Bonds Group agent being sent to find the individual. Unfortunately, this will result in their return to jail.
The bond will be exonerated upon the completion of the trial, irrespective of guilt or innocence.
